Narrative:
I was the local controller on duty at bna tower. I was working the LC2 position for runway 2R. All aircraft are issued BNA6 SID which for runway 2R states 'turn right heading 035 to intercept the 048R of the nashville VOR.' I cleared air carrier X for takeoff and when he was over departure end of runway I noticed that we had not started a turn. I issued instructions to turn right to 035 to intercept the 048 radial and contact departure. Air carrier X read back heading 350 and contact departure. I realized he read back the wrong heading so I called air carrier X to see if he was still on my frequency. He had changed to departure so I immediately notified LC1 and departure radar east. Air carrier X and air carrier Y off runway 2L converged to about 1 mi apart. I believe the nashville 6 SID off runway 2R is not safe. We experimented with several headings off 2R since it opened to achieve noise abatement. We used 035, 050, 048, 065 and finally 035 to intercept the 048 radial. I have observed several aircraft depart runway 2R on runway heading since it opened. Note: all other runways state runway heading in the BNA6 SID.

Title: ACR X NON ADHERENCE TO ATC CLRNC (SID) HAD LTSS FROM ACR Y. PLTDEV.
Narrative: I WAS THE LCL CTLR ON DUTY AT BNA TWR. I WAS WORKING THE LC2 POS FOR RWY 2R. ALL ACFT ARE ISSUED BNA6 SID WHICH FOR RWY 2R STATES 'TURN R HDG 035 TO INTERCEPT THE 048R OF THE NASHVILLE VOR.' I CLRED ACR X FOR TKOF AND WHEN HE WAS OVER DEP END OF RWY I NOTICED THAT WE HAD NOT STARTED A TURN. I ISSUED INSTRUCTIONS TO TURN R TO 035 TO INTERCEPT THE 048 RADIAL AND CONTACT DEP. ACR X READ BACK HDG 350 AND CONTACT DEP. I REALIZED HE READ BACK THE WRONG HDG SO I CALLED ACR X TO SEE IF HE WAS STILL ON MY FREQ. HE HAD CHANGED TO DEP SO I IMMEDIATELY NOTIFIED LC1 AND DEP RADAR E. ACR X AND ACR Y OFF RWY 2L CONVERGED TO ABOUT 1 MI APART. I BELIEVE THE NASHVILLE 6 SID OFF RWY 2R IS NOT SAFE. WE EXPERIMENTED WITH SEVERAL HDGS OFF 2R SINCE IT OPENED TO ACHIEVE NOISE ABATEMENT. WE USED 035, 050, 048, 065 AND FINALLY 035 TO INTERCEPT THE 048 RADIAL. I HAVE OBSERVED SEVERAL ACFT DEPART RWY 2R ON RWY HDG SINCE IT OPENED. NOTE: ALL OTHER RWYS STATE RWY HDG IN THE BNA6 SID.
