Narrative:
Taxiing into the gate I was directed by the marshaller into a baggage cart. The marshaller was using a misplaced pylon as a guide for position. The pylon did not provide enough clearance for the wing leading edge. Gate supervisor did not insure baggage carts were out of danger. Pylons were misplaced. Baggage cart was not visible from the cockpit. Supplemental information from acn 189418. Baseball size dent on leading edge of wing.
