Narrative:
Because of WX at mia/fll all aircraft had to be rerted inland. Numerous rertes, vectors and speed control were being given to provide necessary spacing to ZJX. Air carrier X was slowed to fit in slot on J121 that was being created. This resulted in an overtake situation with air carrier Y 15 mi in trail. After other clrncs were given I noticed the situation. I turned air carrier X to the west, turned air carrier Y to the east, climbed air carrier Y, resumed speed on air carrier X. This resulted in approximately 4.5 mi and 1000 ft.
