Narrative:

During level flight at FL270, ATC pointed out military traffic at our 10 O'clock position. The traffic was momentarily sighted and tracked on TCASII. TCASII sounded an advisory and followed with a resolution. (Traffic was shown descending to within 1400 ft). I complied with the resolution, which was a 2500 FPM descent, and advised ATC of deviation. The controller responded that the traffic was in level flight, although TCASII showed traffic in a momentary descent. After the conflict, I returned to assigned altitude.

(TFC WAS SHOWN DSNDING TO WITHIN 1400 FT). I COMPLIED WITH THE RESOLUTION, WHICH WAS A 2500 FPM DSCNT, AND ADVISED ATC OF DEV.
