Narrative:
Just after liftoff from tol, we experienced a severe vibration followed by a partial loss of power on the left engine. The engine EPR dropped from 1.95 to 1.5, N1 dropped to 70 percent, and the egt was climbing through 590 degree. Oil pressure and temperature were normal. The captain pulled the throttle to idle, all engine parameters returned to normal and the vibration diminished. The captain elected to leave the engine at idle. An emergency was declared and we landed without further incidence.
