Narrative:
Was holding short of runway 33L behind company aircraft when ground center cleared company in front to cross and told us to cross as well and 'stay in tight with you company.' we were on single engine taxi and heavy and used maximum thrust possible to expedite. Just as we were on the runway ground told us to hold short. We immediately told him we were already committed and unable. The aircraft on approach went around, although we feel he had ample spacing to land.

Title: ACR MLG TOOK TOO LONG XING A RWY CAUSING AN SMA TO GAR.
Narrative: WAS HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 33L BEHIND COMPANY ACFT WHEN GND CENTER CLRED COMPANY IN FRONT TO CROSS AND TOLD US TO CROSS AS WELL AND 'STAY IN TIGHT WITH YOU COMPANY.' WE WERE ON SINGLE ENG TAXI AND HEAVY AND USED MAX THRUST POSSIBLE TO EXPEDITE. JUST AS WE WERE ON THE RWY GND TOLD US TO HOLD SHORT. WE IMMEDIATELY TOLD HIM WE WERE ALREADY COMMITTED AND UNABLE. THE ACFT ON APCH WENT AROUND, ALTHOUGH WE FEEL HE HAD AMPLE SPACING TO LAND.
