Narrative:
A normal approach and landing was made to runway 1R. Shortly after lift dumper deployment aircraft began to shimmy. Shimmy became more pronounced as aircraft decelerated. Shimmy stopped as aircraft settled to the right followed by loud scraping sound and vibration. Directional control was maintained with left brake and nose wheel steering. Tower was called with a request for assistance. Visual inspection revealed no need for immediate evacuate/evacuation. After short time fire equipment arrived. Passenger and crew deplaned by airstairs and were transported to terminal by ground transportation. No injuries to passenger or crew. I suspect right main gear torque link or scissors failed allowing the main wheels to freely caster at high speed causing wheels to depart aircraft. Aircraft skidded to stop on right axle. Recommend inspecting scissor links. Crew did a super job.

Title: ACR MDT HAD R MAIN GEAR FAILURE AFTER LNDG AT IAD.
Narrative: A NORMAL APCH AND LNDG WAS MADE TO RWY 1R. SHORTLY AFTER LIFT DUMPER DEPLOYMENT ACFT BEGAN TO SHIMMY. SHIMMY BECAME MORE PRONOUNCED AS ACFT DECELERATED. SHIMMY STOPPED AS ACFT SETTLED TO THE R FOLLOWED BY LOUD SCRAPING SOUND AND VIBRATION. DIRECTIONAL CTL WAS MAINTAINED WITH L BRAKE AND NOSE WHEEL STEERING. TWR WAS CALLED WITH A REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE. VISUAL INSPECTION REVEALED NO NEED FOR IMMEDIATE EVAC. AFTER SHORT TIME FIRE EQUIP ARRIVED. PAX AND CREW DEPLANED BY AIRSTAIRS AND WERE TRANSPORTED TO TERMINAL BY GND TRANSPORTATION. NO INJURIES TO PAX OR CREW. I SUSPECT R MAIN GEAR TORQUE LINK OR SCISSORS FAILED ALLOWING THE MAIN WHEELS TO FREELY CASTER AT HIGH SPD CAUSING WHEELS TO DEPART ACFT. ACFT SKIDDED TO STOP ON R AXLE. RECOMMEND INSPECTING SCISSOR LINKS. CREW DID A SUPER JOB.
