Narrative:
We had cancelled IFR while 10 east of scy VORTAC, did some airwork and made practice approach at hqz. I was aware of the recent expansion of the dfw TCA, but our charts still showed the old confign. I told the PF to stay at 2500 ft which I thought should be below the TCA. After several tries, made contact with approach and we landed uneventfully at our base ads. Called approach later on the telephone and the supervisor said that they were aware that chart maker had not yet revised the relevant TCA chart. He said that they were being lenient as the TCA had only been enlarged on jan/92 and many pilots were not yet aware of the new dimensions. P.south. Next day found the new chart going into the books dated jan/92. Note 2500 ft is the TCA floor at the area of concern.
