Narrative:
TCASII alert after takeoff abq. Sky condition ceiling and visibility unlimited. Captain flying. After takeoff runway 8 at abq, and having passed the abq 13.5 DME, we began a left turn to be stopped at 310 degrees. About midway through turn, departure advised us of traffic in the turn, and at the same time TCASII gave a TA at approximately 12 O'clock, 800 ft above. Almost immediately thereafter, TCASII gave a descend RA as we were approaching 8000 ft MSL. Traffic was now 12 O'clock, same altitude on TCASII still no visual. I rolled aircraft to left, pulled off power and descended 200-300 ft before TCASII gave clear of conflict. At that time, the flight engineer spotted the traffic going by out the right side cockpit window approximately 200 ft above us, appeared to be a high wing small aircraft. Retracted flaps and continued on course. Told departure control of action taken, and explained same to passenger. In the opinion of the entire cockpit crew, the TCASII enabled the aforementioned scenario to have a safe ending.

Title: NMAC.
Narrative: TCASII ALERT AFTER TKOF ABQ. SKY CONDITION CEILING AND VISIBILITY UNLIMITED. CAPT FLYING. AFTER TKOF RWY 8 AT ABQ, AND HAVING PASSED THE ABQ 13.5 DME, WE BEGAN A L TURN TO BE STOPPED AT 310 DEGS. ABOUT MIDWAY THROUGH TURN, DEP ADVISED US OF TFC IN THE TURN, AND AT THE SAME TIME TCASII GAVE A TA AT APPROX 12 O'CLOCK, 800 FT ABOVE. ALMOST IMMEDIATELY THEREAFTER, TCASII GAVE A DSND RA AS WE WERE APCHING 8000 FT MSL. TFC WAS NOW 12 O'CLOCK, SAME ALT ON TCASII STILL NO VISUAL. I ROLLED ACFT TO L, PULLED OFF PWR AND DSNDED 200-300 FT BEFORE TCASII GAVE CLR OF CONFLICT. AT THAT TIME, THE FE SPOTTED THE TFC GOING BY OUT THE R SIDE COCKPIT WINDOW APPROX 200 FT ABOVE US, APPEARED TO BE A HIGH WING SMA. RETRACTED FLAPS AND CONTINUED ON COURSE. TOLD DEP CTL OF ACTION TAKEN, AND EXPLAINED SAME TO PAX. IN THE OPINION OF THE ENTIRE COCKPIT CREW, THE TCASII ENABLED THE AFOREMENTIONED SCENARIO TO HAVE A SAFE ENDING.
