Narrative:
Pilot was attempting a short field takeoff in a 550 pound high wing airplane. After gaining min speed; aircraft was caught by a gust of wind from the right side which lifted the right wing. The aircraft turned left and went off the runway into tall grass and very soft ground where it bent the landing gear, damaged the wing tip and wood propeller. No injuries to pilot. No damage to property.

Title: LIGHT WT SMA ON TKOF ROLL HAS WIND GUST CATCH WING. LOSS OF CTL RWY EXCURSION.
Narrative: PLT WAS ATTEMPTING A SHORT FIELD TKOF IN A 550 POUND HIGH WING AIRPLANE. AFTER GAINING MIN SPD; ACFT WAS CAUGHT BY A GUST OF WIND FROM THE R SIDE WHICH LIFTED THE R WING. THE ACFT TURNED L AND WENT OFF THE RWY INTO TALL GRASS AND VERY SOFT GND WHERE IT BENT THE LNDG GEAR, DAMAGED THE WING TIP AND WOOD PROP. NO INJURIES TO PLT. NO DAMAGE TO PROPERTY.
