Narrative:

During a scheduled flight sea-lax at AM35Z with lax WX -X 3 mi H, ATC cleared medium large transport for visual to 24R. During downwind the clearance was amended to visual to 24L during base leg visual contact was lost and ATC was not notified due to frequency change; when visual was regained we were lined up with what we thought was 24L but was in fact the south complex (25L and 25R) a new clearance was issued to turn right immediately and cleared to land 24L. No TCASII advisory was issued. There was no traffic conflict and the approach resulted in a normal approach and landing on 24L lax.

Narrative: DURING A SCHEDULED FLT SEA-LAX AT AM35Z WITH LAX WX -X 3 MI H, ATC CLRED MLG FOR VISUAL TO 24R. DURING DOWNWIND THE CLRNC WAS AMENDED TO VISUAL TO 24L DURING BASE LEG VISUAL CONTACT WAS LOST AND ATC WAS NOT NOTIFIED DUE TO FREQ CHANGE; WHEN VISUAL WAS REGAINED WE WERE LINED UP WITH WHAT WE THOUGHT WAS 24L BUT WAS IN FACT THE S COMPLEX (25L AND 25R) A NEW CLRNC WAS ISSUED TO TURN R IMMEDIATELY AND CLRED TO LAND 24L. NO TCASII ADVISORY WAS ISSUED. THERE WAS NO TFC CONFLICT AND THE APCH RESULTED IN A NORMAL APCH AND LNDG ON 24L LAX.
