Narrative:
When flying a domestic segment after short layover, realized that the previous day's international segments and part 91 leg put me and my crew over the supplemental limits for domestic legs. Particularly embarrassing because I normally schedule the cockpit crews. I was beeped on a wkend and given the assignment. I said it sounded ok but I would 'check out the legalities' when I got home. I never did realize that the times exceeded 8 in 24 without the required rest. The individual who planned the assignment thought that since it was a subsvc for a scheduled carrier, domestic scheduled rules would apply. As my carrier only holds a supplemental certificate, scheduled carriers have to charter us and supplemental rules apply. I was scheduled for 10 1/2 hours of international/part 91 flying a 10 hour rest, then 3 hours of domestic flying. Total time at end of flight was 11 1/2 hours of flying in the previous 24 hours without the necessary rest. Although I very carefully check everyone else's legalities I neglected my own.

Title: FLC FLT TIME DUTY LIMITATION EXCEEDED BY CAPT OF A SUPPLEMENTAL AIR CARRIER.
Narrative: WHEN FLYING A DOMESTIC SEGMENT AFTER SHORT LAYOVER, REALIZED THAT THE PREVIOUS DAY'S INTL SEGMENTS AND PART 91 LEG PUT ME AND MY CREW OVER THE SUPPLEMENTAL LIMITS FOR DOMESTIC LEGS. PARTICULARLY EMBARRASSING BECAUSE I NORMALLY SCHEDULE THE COCKPIT CREWS. I WAS BEEPED ON A WKEND AND GIVEN THE ASSIGNMENT. I SAID IT SOUNDED OK BUT I WOULD 'CHK OUT THE LEGALITIES' WHEN I GOT HOME. I WAS SCHEDULED FOR 10 1/2 HRS OF INTL/PART 91 FLYING A 10 HR REST, THEN 3 HRS OF DOMESTIC FLYING. TOTAL TIME AT END OF FLT WAS 11 1/2 HRS OF FLYING IN THE PREVIOUS 24 HRS WITHOUT THE NECESSARY REST. ALTHOUGH I VERY CAREFULLY CHK EVERYONE ELSE'S LEGALITIES I NEGLECTED MY OWN.
