Narrative:
Giving a private pilot time and experience for chkout in a complex aircraft after purchase and for insurance purposes on his second flight in this particular airplane. A straight line from lns to hgr does not intercede the R4009 or the P40 which ATC says we violated. Our cruise altitude was 6500 ft and descending for hgr. The magnetic compass was definitely unreliable and erroneous. The LORAN straight line did not show warning.

Title: UNAUTHORIZED PENETRATION OF AIRSPACE. PROX OF PROHIBITED RESTRICTED AREA.
Narrative: GIVING A PRIVATE PLT TIME AND EXPERIENCE FOR CHKOUT IN A COMPLEX ACFT AFTER PURCHASE AND FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES ON HIS SECOND FLT IN THIS PARTICULAR AIRPLANE. A STRAIGHT LINE FROM LNS TO HGR DOES NOT INTERCEDE THE R4009 OR THE P40 WHICH ATC SAYS WE VIOLATED. OUR CRUISE ALT WAS 6500 FT AND DSNDING FOR HGR. THE MAGNETIC COMPASS WAS DEFINITELY UNRELIABLE AND ERRONEOUS. THE LORAN STRAIGHT LINE DID NOT SHOW WARNING.
