Narrative:
On takeoff roll, during latter portion, loud noises came from nose gear area. Upon gear retraction, nose gear door failed to close. Gear went down normally. Returned to takeoff airport and landed uneventfully. Nose gear strut was deflated, preventing normal gear door operation. Nose gear was svced, valve in nose gear was tightened. Flight released and operated normally. Not possible to determine why nose gear strut deflated. Gear operated normally on previous departure.
