Narrative:
Last time I flew with the copilot a displaced captain (air carrier B merged) from memphis bid into boston on top of my copilot on the seniority list and rode in the cockpit to learn about the widebody transport. During that leg the copilot was so angry he emotionally left the cockpit and we had a total breakdown in teamwork. I spoke to him about it when we landed and he said 'it wasn't too professional.' about 20-30 min before landing we received an ACARS message that we would be drug tested. The copilot got real angry that it was his 6TH time and would be inconvenienced 30 min. I hand flew the aircraft which I normally don't do because I had a check ride in 2 days. Initial vectors were for 27 (not on ATIS) and we requested 22L. Too heavy for 27. After landing the controller got into the hurry mode while we were at about 100 ktws. Turnoff 27, made next turn off, than go to end something about aircraft 2 mi. I am a reserve captain and have only 450 hours in the last 13 months. The area down near 'B' and (hold short area to the runway) seems very busy and requires a lot of concentration from all 3 crew members. I didn't get any taxi help, runway markings, any red stop lights, from the copilot. As I taxied and referred to my chart and looked outside I realized I didn't know where I was, so I stopped. Unfortunately I stopped right on the 22R stopway and an aircraft was in position for takeoff on 22R. (Somewhere along the way I noticed a controller change). The so said 'we can't back up, add power and get off' which I did. I was going to tell the tower to abort the aircraft on 22R. We taxied off the runway (22R) and contacted ground control. I spoke to mr X in the tower and he felt we got off the runway before the other aircraft started it's takeoff roll. From my point of view, I was unsure of the area. I was probably looking for the end of a runway, lighting and markings versus runway centerline lights and markings. The absence of white runway lights and end of runway red lights etc, the different color of concrete on stopway and I didn't see the hold short lines on the concrete which I am very diligent about normally. Mr X mention there were red lights identing the stopway, but I didn't see them. Another thing I saw, a 4L sign versus 4L/22R and it didn't register because I thought there were 2 runways, 9 and 4, and I would pass 4 for the next runway. My suggestion: flashing lights for bravo taxi for both 22R stopway and 27 stopway, both sides of the stopways (4 lights). Also a pet peeve of pilots, tower communicating instructions to us on the rollout while we are in a critical phase of flight 120-100 KTS on landing.

Title: UNAUTHORIZED RWY ENTRY XING. RWY INCURSION.
Narrative: LAST TIME I FLEW WITH THE COPLT A DISPLACED CAPT (ACR B MERGED) FROM MEMPHIS BID INTO BOSTON ON TOP OF MY COPLT ON THE SENIORITY LIST AND RODE IN THE COCKPIT TO LEARN ABOUT THE WDB. DURING THAT LEG THE COPLT WAS SO ANGRY HE EMOTIONALLY LEFT THE COCKPIT AND WE HAD A TOTAL BREAKDOWN IN TEAMWORK. I SPOKE TO HIM ABOUT IT WHEN WE LANDED AND HE SAID 'IT WASN'T TOO PROFESSIONAL.' ABOUT 20-30 MIN BEFORE LNDG WE RECEIVED AN ACARS MESSAGE THAT WE WOULD BE DRUG TESTED. THE COPLT GOT REAL ANGRY THAT IT WAS HIS 6TH TIME AND WOULD BE INCONVENIENCED 30 MIN. I HAND FLEW THE ACFT WHICH I NORMALLY DON'T DO BECAUSE I HAD A CHK RIDE IN 2 DAYS. INITIAL VECTORS WERE FOR 27 (NOT ON ATIS) AND WE REQUESTED 22L. TOO HVY FOR 27. AFTER LNDG THE CTLR GOT INTO THE HURRY MODE WHILE WE WERE AT ABOUT 100 KTWS. TURNOFF 27, MADE NEXT TURN OFF, THAN GO TO END SOMETHING ABOUT ACFT 2 MI. I AM A RESERVE CAPT AND HAVE ONLY 450 HRS IN THE LAST 13 MONTHS. THE AREA DOWN NEAR 'B' AND (HOLD SHORT AREA TO THE RWY) SEEMS VERY BUSY AND REQUIRES A LOT OF CONCENTRATION FROM ALL 3 CREW MEMBERS. I DIDN'T GET ANY TAXI HELP, RWY MARKINGS, ANY RED STOP LIGHTS, FROM THE COPLT. AS I TAXIED AND REFERRED TO MY CHART AND LOOKED OUTSIDE I REALIZED I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE I WAS, SO I STOPPED. UNFORTUNATELY I STOPPED RIGHT ON THE 22R STOPWAY AND AN ACFT WAS IN POS FOR TKOF ON 22R. (SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY I NOTICED A CTLR CHANGE). THE SO SAID 'WE CAN'T BACK UP, ADD PWR AND GET OFF' WHICH I DID. I WAS GOING TO TELL THE TWR TO ABORT THE ACFT ON 22R. WE TAXIED OFF THE RWY (22R) AND CONTACTED GND CTL. I SPOKE TO MR X IN THE TWR AND HE FELT WE GOT OFF THE RWY BEFORE THE OTHER ACFT STARTED IT'S TKOF ROLL. FROM MY POINT OF VIEW, I WAS UNSURE OF THE AREA. I WAS PROBABLY LOOKING FOR THE END OF A RWY, LIGHTING AND MARKINGS VERSUS RWY CTRLINE LIGHTS AND MARKINGS. THE ABSENCE OF WHITE RWY LIGHTS AND END OF RWY RED LIGHTS ETC, THE DIFFERENT COLOR OF CONCRETE ON STOPWAY AND I DIDN'T SEE THE HOLD SHORT LINES ON THE CONCRETE WHICH I AM VERY DILIGENT ABOUT NORMALLY. MR X MENTION THERE WERE RED LIGHTS IDENTING THE STOPWAY, BUT I DIDN'T SEE THEM. ANOTHER THING I SAW, A 4L SIGN VERSUS 4L/22R AND IT DIDN'T REGISTER BECAUSE I THOUGHT THERE WERE 2 RWYS, 9 AND 4, AND I WOULD PASS 4 FOR THE NEXT RWY. MY SUGGESTION: FLASHING LIGHTS FOR BRAVO TAXI FOR BOTH 22R STOPWAY AND 27 STOPWAY, BOTH SIDES OF THE STOPWAYS (4 LIGHTS). ALSO A PET PEEVE OF PLTS, TWR COMMUNICATING INSTRUCTIONS TO US ON THE ROLLOUT WHILE WE ARE IN A CRITICAL PHASE OF FLT 120-100 KTS ON LNDG.
