Narrative:
Agc tower cleared me for takeoff on runway 31 by using a light signal since I had no radio. I made an intersection takeoff to return to my home airport after my plane's receiving an annual inspection. At 100 ft AGL, the engine lost all power. Since I did not think I had enough runway ahead to land and stop, I made a gliding turn to the left and made a normal landing on runway 28. The engine was still idling ok, so I returned to the maintenance shop. The problem was found and repaired. I made a normal flight home 3 hours later. At no time did I cause a traffic conflict or endanger anybody or anything. If I would have used the full length of runway 31, I might not have needed to turn and use runway 28.
