Narrative:
After landing on runway 10R, instructed by tower to exit on highspd (C-8), proceed to terminal via taxiway 'P', hold short of runway 10C on taxiway 'P' runway 10C was being used for takeoffs. As we approached the intersection of 'P' and runway 10C, my first officer reminded me to hold short of 10C. The taxiways, runways, and intxns are not well marked at this location. Night operations in my opinion are potentially hazardous. Supplemental information from acn 208137. After contacting company to advise them of our arrival, I reminded the captain we were instructed to hold short of runway 28C. We were taxiing northeast on papa at this time. He brought the aircraft to a firm stop well short of the runway. However, some passenger felt we had a near miss because of the firm stop and the noise of the departure aircraft Y. We were not even close to being on the active runway. The taxiways along this route are not very well marked for night operation. I feel this taxiway could cause problems in the future. Probably the only thing that has saved aircraft in the past is the fact that it is almost never used by ATC in this manner.

Title: PROX OF DEPARTING JET ACFT TO ACR MLG X HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 10C AT PAPA AT PIT CAUSES CONCERN TO PAX.
Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 10R, INSTRUCTED BY TWR TO EXIT ON HIGHSPD (C-8), PROCEED TO TERMINAL VIA TAXIWAY 'P', HOLD SHORT OF RWY 10C ON TAXIWAY 'P' RWY 10C WAS BEING USED FOR TKOFS. AS WE APCHED THE INTXN OF 'P' AND RWY 10C, MY FO REMINDED ME TO HOLD SHORT OF 10C. THE TAXIWAYS, RWYS, AND INTXNS ARE NOT WELL MARKED AT THIS LOCATION. NIGHT OPS IN MY OPINION ARE POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 208137. AFTER CONTACTING COMPANY TO ADVISE THEM OF OUR ARR, I REMINDED THE CAPT WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 28C. WE WERE TAXIING NE ON PAPA AT THIS TIME. HE BROUGHT THE ACFT TO A FIRM STOP WELL SHORT OF THE RWY. HOWEVER, SOME PAX FELT WE HAD A NEAR MISS BECAUSE OF THE FIRM STOP AND THE NOISE OF THE DEP ACFT Y. WE WERE NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING ON THE ACTIVE RWY. THE TAXIWAYS ALONG THIS RTE ARE NOT VERY WELL MARKED FOR NIGHT OP. I FEEL THIS TAXIWAY COULD CAUSE PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE. PROBABLY THE ONLY THING THAT HAS SAVED ACFT IN THE PAST IS THE FACT THAT IT IS ALMOST NEVER USED BY ATC IN THIS MANNER.
