Narrative:
On initial climb out at pbi, the #1 engine overheat light came on (temperatures and pressures normal for power setting and OAT). We began to complete the emergency checklist and the overheat light extinguished as the throttle was retarded. I elected to return to pbi, completed visual approach landed without further incident. Maintenance inspection revealed a loose duct fitting and a ruptured duct. The necessary duct work was replaced, an overweight landing inspection completed and we ferried the aircraft the following morning to get it in position.
