Narrative:
Atl hartsfield airport. Air carrier X landed runway 26R -- told to hold short runway 26L -- answered and complied. A turbojet departed and we were cleared to cross runway 26L and contact ground 121.9 on the other side. Replied and complied. While in mid runway, noticed lights of an aircraft Y appearing to takeoff truly expedited to avoid conflict. Light twin departed on runway we were crossing. Contacted tower. Supervisor immediately upon arrival at gate and was told 'operational error being investigated.'

Narrative: ATL HARTSFIELD ARPT. ACR X LANDED RWY 26R -- TOLD TO HOLD SHORT RWY 26L -- ANSWERED AND COMPLIED. A TURBOJET DEPARTED AND WE WERE CLRED TO CROSS RWY 26L AND CONTACT GND 121.9 ON THE OTHER SIDE. REPLIED AND COMPLIED. WHILE IN MID RWY, NOTICED LIGHTS OF AN ACFT Y APPEARING TO TKOF TRULY EXPEDITED TO AVOID CONFLICT. LIGHT TWIN DEPARTED ON RWY WE WERE XING. CONTACTED TWR. SUPVR IMMEDIATELY UPON ARR AT GATE AND WAS TOLD 'OPERROR BEING INVESTIGATED.'
