Narrative:
Climbing out of 9000 ft fumes set off both lavatory smoke detectors and we smelled air conditioning fumes in cockpit. Selected warmer temperature, performed air conditioning smoke checklist, shut off right air conditioning pack, declared emergency. Advised flight attendants and passenger we would return to pit. Landing and taxi in uneventful. Fumes dissipated after shutting off right pack.
