Narrative:
After takeoff at hnl experienced an actual engine fire on #3 engine (warning lights bell and temperature indication). Returned throttle #3 to idle and requested special handling from ATC. Accomplished engine fire checklist, expended left hand fire bottle and dumped fuel to maximum landing gross weight. Prepared cabin for landing by using lead cabin attendant and briefed passenger in both english and korean, based on the ethnic makeup of the passenger. Requested that emergency equipment be available for landing. Gear extended early to cool brakes. Normal landing rollout without the use of brakes and cleared runway. Taxied to gate after engine and brakes were checked by maintenance.
