Narrative:
I was landing at venice, fl. Winds were from the southwest at 7 KTS. After calling unicom twice for an airport advisory they did not answer, and determining the winds were from the southwest, I proceeded to enter a left downwind for runway 22. I reported entering downwind, turning base, and on 1 mi final. As I started my flare, an aircraft was departing runway 4 opposite direction. I felt that I would increase the risk of a midair collision by going around, so I landed and started to veer off the right side of the runway. The small aircraft aircraft then passed over our aircraft at approximately 50 ft. I heard a broken up radio call from the small aircraft which I could not determine if he was going to takeoff. I felt he would hold short and wait for me to land. My radios were working fine as I was talking with ZMA and tpa approach without any problems.

Title: ATX ACFT HAS NMAC WITH OPPOSITE DIRECTION TFC ON LNDG AT UNCTLED ARPT.
Narrative: I WAS LNDG AT VENICE, FL. WINDS WERE FROM THE SW AT 7 KTS. AFTER CALLING UNICOM TWICE FOR AN ARPT ADVISORY THEY DID NOT ANSWER, AND DETERMINING THE WINDS WERE FROM THE SW, I PROCEEDED TO ENTER A L DOWNWIND FOR RWY 22. I RPTED ENTERING DOWNWIND, TURNING BASE, AND ON 1 MI FINAL. AS I STARTED MY FLARE, AN ACFT WAS DEPARTING RWY 4 OPPOSITE DIRECTION. I FELT THAT I WOULD INCREASE THE RISK OF A MIDAIR COLLISION BY GOING AROUND, SO I LANDED AND STARTED TO VEER OFF THE R SIDE OF THE RWY. THE SMA ACFT THEN PASSED OVER OUR ACFT AT APPROX 50 FT. I HEARD A BROKEN UP RADIO CALL FROM THE SMA WHICH I COULD NOT DETERMINE IF HE WAS GOING TO TKOF. I FELT HE WOULD HOLD SHORT AND WAIT FOR ME TO LAND. MY RADIOS WERE WORKING FINE AS I WAS TALKING WITH ZMA AND TPA APCH WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS.
