Narrative:

Climbing out of fll, passing through 6000 ft MSL, TCASII issued a descend RA. Captain, who was flying, immediately began a descent as instructed. As soon as the descent was initiated, the RA ceased and a climb was reinitiated. ATC was advised of the situation. At the time of the TA, TCASII was displaying a target 2000 ft below our altitude (blue symbol) and just prior to the RA another target appeared (yellow symbol) but the altitude was not determined as this target was only displayed for about 1 second. Both targets were displayed behind our aircraft at the time of the RA. Supplemental information from acn 223982: ATC stated that he only showed the 1 aircraft that was below us. We never saw any other aircraft and I'm not sure there ever was one.
