Narrative:
While working sdr at rdu, I inadvertently allowed atx X to enter another controllers airspace without a handoff being completed. After becoming aware of the situation, I immediately completed a manual handoff to the efr. Numerous items contributed to this event taking place. My entire time on position was punctuated by numerous incidents that were out of the ordinary. Initially, a VFR departure failed to 'tag up' requiring additional attention. When he did tag, the aircraft had 'busted' his assigned altitude. Subsequently, I was instructed to put my arriving traffic on a wide downwind when vip mlt was inbound. However, I was not told when or where mlt was. After several attempts to get the information from him, I personally scanned the entire rdu airspace to locate him. I finally located him after the above incident occurred. Additionally, I had 3 aircraft whose data tags indicated a conflict alert. Being required by FAA 7110.65G to implement merging target procedures. My performance was hampered because I was required to divert my attention from my primary duties to search for mlt. I had originally tried to place the incident aircraft in a handoff status 10 mi from the violated airspace but deferred that action because of criticisms received earlier from other controllers for handing off aircraft too early. Earlier in the day, prior to coming to work, I discovered a personal medical situation that caused a high level of personal anxiety and distress. Results. Due to the operational deviation that I had I have been decertified on all control position at rdu and am now undergoing a performance improvement plan (pip) consisting of stringent recertification elements. If I fail to successfully complete any of the segment of the pip I am subject to the provisions of FAA 3330.30 at the discretion of the agency. Those options are reassignment to a different facility or termination of employment.

Title: ATX X UNCOORD UNAUTHORIZED PENETRATION OF AIRSPACE. OPDEV.
Narrative: WHILE WORKING SDR AT RDU, I INADVERTENTLY ALLOWED ATX X TO ENTER ANOTHER CTLRS AIRSPACE WITHOUT A HDOF BEING COMPLETED. AFTER BECOMING AWARE OF THE SITUATION, I IMMEDIATELY COMPLETED A MANUAL HDOF TO THE EFR. NUMEROUS ITEMS CONTRIBUTED TO THIS EVENT TAKING PLACE. MY ENTIRE TIME ON POS WAS PUNCTUATED BY NUMEROUS INCIDENTS THAT WERE OUT OF THE ORDINARY. INITIALLY, A VFR DEP FAILED TO 'TAG UP' REQUIRING ADDITIONAL ATTN. WHEN HE DID TAG, THE ACFT HAD 'BUSTED' HIS ASSIGNED ALT. SUBSEQUENTLY, I WAS INSTRUCTED TO PUT MY ARRIVING TFC ON A WIDE DOWNWIND WHEN VIP MLT WAS INBOUND. HOWEVER, I WAS NOT TOLD WHEN OR WHERE MLT WAS. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO GET THE INFO FROM HIM, I PERSONALLY SCANNED THE ENTIRE RDU AIRSPACE TO LOCATE HIM. I FINALLY LOCATED HIM AFTER THE ABOVE INCIDENT OCCURRED. ADDITIONALLY, I HAD 3 ACFT WHOSE DATA TAGS INDICATED A CONFLICT ALERT. BEING REQUIRED BY FAA 7110.65G TO IMPLEMENT MERGING TARGET PROCS. MY PERFORMANCE WAS HAMPERED BECAUSE I WAS REQUIRED TO DIVERT MY ATTN FROM MY PRIMARY DUTIES TO SEARCH FOR MLT. I HAD ORIGINALLY TRIED TO PLACE THE INCIDENT ACFT IN A HDOF STATUS 10 MI FROM THE VIOLATED AIRSPACE BUT DEFERRED THAT ACTION BECAUSE OF CRITICISMS RECEIVED EARLIER FROM OTHER CTLRS FOR HANDING OFF ACFT TOO EARLY. EARLIER IN THE DAY, PRIOR TO COMING TO WORK, I DISCOVERED A PERSONAL MEDICAL SITUATION THAT CAUSED A HIGH LEVEL OF PERSONAL ANXIETY AND DISTRESS. RESULTS. DUE TO THE OPERATIONAL DEV THAT I HAD I HAVE BEEN DECERTIFIED ON ALL CTL POS AT RDU AND AM NOW UNDERGOING A PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT PLAN (PIP) CONSISTING OF STRINGENT RECERTIFICATION ELEMENTS.
