Narrative:
While on rome arrival into katl at 11000 ft on atl 313/08 we received a TCASII alert and RA. The red arc commanded a plus 2000 FPM climb. We climbed to 11400 ft and spotted traffic at 2 O'clock 2 NM passing right to left. Traffic believed to be departure traffic leveling at 10000 ft. Approach was advised of our action and we were revectored into the approach pattern with no further action necessary.

Narrative: WHILE ON ROME ARR INTO KATL AT 11000 FT ON ATL 313/08 WE RECEIVED A TCASII ALERT AND RA. THE RED ARC COMMANDED A PLUS 2000 FPM CLB. WE CLBED TO 11400 FT AND SPOTTED TFC AT 2 O'CLOCK 2 NM PASSING R TO L. TFC BELIEVED TO BE DEP TFC LEVELING AT 10000 FT.
