Narrative:
Air carrier X was en route sbound descending to 8000 ft. Air carrier Y was en route wbound descending to 10000 ft. Both aircraft had each other in sight. Air carrier Y was instructed to maintain visual separation with air carrier X, air carrier X received an RA on TCASII and climbed into air carrier Z. Neither aircraft data block indicated TCASII equipment.
