Narrative:
We were en route from 3HA to pwk at 3000 ft in IMC, we were on the ILS 16 into pwk, everything was going perfectly until I transitioned from the instruments to visual for the landing, we got a little low on the approach. I decided to add power, I didn't add enough or the plane didn't respond as quickly as I thought it would because we were picking up ice en route and on the approach. The left propeller struck a tall stop sign at the end of the runway. We had no problem landing and in fact landed on the centerline. After shutdown we found out we bent one blade of the 3. There are a couple things that contributed to this occurrence. The first my inexperience in icing conditions and in this specific aircraft. I feel that this could have been avoided if during the transition from instruments to visual I continued to fly the approach and stay on the GS.

Title: PROP STRIKE ON ROAD SIGN BY SMT.
Narrative: WE WERE ENRTE FROM 3HA TO PWK AT 3000 FT IN IMC, WE WERE ON THE ILS 16 INTO PWK, EVERYTHING WAS GOING PERFECTLY UNTIL I TRANSITIONED FROM THE INSTS TO VISUAL FOR THE LNDG, WE GOT A LITTLE LOW ON THE APCH. I DECIDED TO ADD PWR, I DIDN'T ADD ENOUGH OR THE PLANE DIDN'T RESPOND AS QUICKLY AS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BECAUSE WE WERE PICKING UP ICE ENRTE AND ON THE APCH. THE L PROP STRUCK A TALL STOP SIGN AT THE END OF THE RWY. WE HAD NO PROBLEM LNDG AND IN FACT LANDED ON THE CTRLINE. AFTER SHUTDOWN WE FOUND OUT WE BENT ONE BLADE OF THE 3. THERE ARE A COUPLE THINGS THAT CONTRIBUTED TO THIS OCCURRENCE. THE FIRST MY INEXPERIENCE IN ICING CONDITIONS AND IN THIS SPECIFIC ACFT. I FEEL THAT THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF DURING THE TRANSITION FROM INSTS TO VISUAL I CONTINUED TO FLY THE APCH AND STAY ON THE GS.
