Narrative:
On north american route, proceeding to ssm, observed aircraft ahead approximately 25 NM, same altitude, on TCASII. Requested FL410. Received clearance to and climbed to FL410. All this occurred while I was on break in cabin. Upon my return to cockpit, the other aircraft was behind us, 2000 ft below and 2-3 mi back on TCASII.

ALL THIS OCCURRED WHILE I WAS ON BREAK IN CABIN. UPON MY RETURN TO COCKPIT, THE OTHER ACFT WAS BEHIND US, 2000 FT BELOW AND 2-3 MI BACK ON TCASII.
