Narrative:
The aircraft was pushed from gate at sna to a point that was a #4 position for runway 19L. After all engine start checklists were performed and just prior to the start of the taxiway checklist, the first flight attendant entered the cockpit with a PA problem. I monitored their PA which took longer than normal and informed the captain of the PA safety briefing completion and sna tower cleared the aircraft to cross runway 19L and hold short of runway 19R. After crossing runway 19L, tower cleared the flight for takeoff on runway 19R. The before takeoff checklist was performed and the aircraft was taxied onto runway 19R and the brakes were set for engine run-up for the sna noise abatement takeoff profile. The aircraft confign was reviewed and the captain and I both noticed that the flaps were not set for takeoff. The aircraft was taxied off the runway, we reviewed the status and confign of all aircraft system. After satisfying ourselves as to the condition of the airplane, we contacted ATC, were cleared onto the runway, took off, and completed an uneventful flight. In retrospect, the closer proximity of the gates to the runway, the short taxi coupled with the complex sna departure procedures, and the flight attendant in the flight deck with a PA problem, disrupted the flow of the taxi checklist.

Title: ACR MLG EXITS RWY AFTER TKOF CLRNC RECEIVED AFTER FLC VIGILANCE DETECTS THAT WING FLAPS ARE NOT EXTENDED FOR TKOF AS PROPER CHKLIST USE WOULD MANDATE.
Narrative: THE ACFT WAS PUSHED FROM GATE AT SNA TO A POINT THAT WAS A #4 POS FOR RWY 19L. AFTER ALL ENG START CHKLISTS WERE PERFORMED AND JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE TXWY CHKLIST, THE FIRST FLT ATTENDANT ENTERED THE COCKPIT WITH A PA PROB. I MONITORED THEIR PA WHICH TOOK LONGER THAN NORMAL AND INFORMED THE CAPT OF THE PA SAFETY BRIEFING COMPLETION AND SNA TWR CLRED THE ACFT TO CROSS RWY 19L AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 19R. AFTER XING RWY 19L, TWR CLRED THE FLT FOR TKOF ON RWY 19R. THE BEFORE TKOF CHKLIST WAS PERFORMED AND THE ACFT WAS TAXIED ONTO RWY 19R AND THE BRAKES WERE SET FOR ENG RUN-UP FOR THE SNA NOISE ABATEMENT TKOF PROFILE. THE ACFT CONFIGN WAS REVIEWED AND THE CAPT AND I BOTH NOTICED THAT THE FLAPS WERE NOT SET FOR TKOF. THE ACFT WAS TAXIED OFF THE RWY, WE REVIEWED THE STATUS AND CONFIGN OF ALL ACFT SYS. AFTER SATISFYING OURSELVES AS TO THE CONDITION OF THE AIRPLANE, WE CONTACTED ATC, WERE CLRED ONTO THE RWY, TOOK OFF, AND COMPLETED AN UNEVENTFUL FLT. IN RETROSPECT, THE CLOSER PROX OF THE GATES TO THE RWY, THE SHORT TAXI COUPLED WITH THE COMPLEX SNA DEP PROCS, AND THE FLT ATTENDANT IN THE FLT DECK WITH A PA PROB, DISRUPTED THE FLOW OF THE TAXI CHKLIST.
