Narrative:
In sum: an small aircraft pilot states that ATC complained about his transmitter and communication. The pilot few from tpf to tpa to get the radios fixed by an FBO. The pilot inadvertently entered the tpa TCA while trying to establish communication with tpa approach. The reporting pilot believes that, if his radio had worked better, this whole thing would not have happened as he operates in this airspace regularly with no problem. The reporting pilot made several attempts to contact tpa before tpa was able to respond.
