Narrative:

IFR tpa-fmy en route talking with tpa departure on 119.65. Was flying an assigned heading to intercept an airway. I was in between WX area or cells being being given by departure. I was in the soup, so to say, when I lost my complete electrical. I had no radios, navs, or lighting. I attempted to re- energize the alternator with no luck, the battery was completely dead. I then continued on a heading from this point that would take me to my destination. After 20 mins, started a descent trying to find the base of the WX. I broke out at approximately 800 ft and 1 mi visibility with rain, found the major road in the area and followed it to the airport. Tower gave me the green, I landed, called tower approach and operations.
