Narrative:

In student training on soft field lndgs, tower instructed us to make a low approach. I instructed my student to fly the airplane close to the runway in order to practice landing attitude. In the course of the low approach, the student touched down on the runway. I took control of the aircraft and initiated a go around. The low approach was not limited to a specific altitude. Another aircraft was required to go around. I should have monitored the student's setting of the power more closely, as well as flying the low approach at a higher altitude. The student has approximately 104 hours -- 102 in type.
