Narrative:
5 mi out of arina on the boids arrival into dfw at 11000 ft, approach called VFR traffic at 2 O'clock converging at our altitude. Also had TA on TCASII. Controller commanded an expedited descent out of 11000 ft to 6000 ft. I was in control of the aircraft and started the descent. We received an RA at approximately 10500 ft, monitor descent and then a climb. I smoothly made an immediate climb back to 11000 ft. The aircraft was visually acquired and flew behind us approximately 2000 ft separation. The controller stated the high wing light aircraft had descended the same time we had and that they would track him down.

Title: ACR MLG CREW FORCED INTO A NON ADHERENCE TO ATC CLRNC BY TCASII RA ON XING TFC, NORAC TFC AT WRONG ALT IN VIOLATION OF THE HDG ALT RULE.
Narrative: 5 MI OUT OF ARINA ON THE BOIDS ARR INTO DFW AT 11000 FT, APCH CALLED VFR TFC AT 2 O'CLOCK CONVERGING AT OUR ALT. ALSO HAD TA ON TCASII. CTLR COMMANDED AN EXPEDITED DSCNT OUT OF 11000 FT TO 6000 FT. I WAS IN CTL OF THE ACFT AND STARTED THE DSCNT. WE RECEIVED AN RA AT APPROX 10500 FT, MONITOR DSCNT AND THEN A CLB. I SMOOTHLY MADE AN IMMEDIATE CLB BACK TO 11000 FT. THE ACFT WAS VISUALLY ACQUIRED AND FLEW BEHIND US APPROX 2000 FT SEPARATION. THE CTLR STATED THE HIGH WING LIGHT ACFT HAD DSNDED THE SAME TIME WE HAD AND THAT THEY WOULD TRACK HIM DOWN.
