Narrative:
Level at 8000 ft, following departure from tpa. Tpa departure control called out 12 O'clock VFR traffic at 8500 ft. We had visual and TCASII at 3-4 mi plus. TCASII had radar tag for traffic at 8300 ft and gave us an RA. We descended to about 7650 ft and informed ATC. We love TCASII.
