Narrative:
While being vectored for approach a TCASII warning went off advising us to climb to avoid another aircraft. We initiated the climb and complied with TCASII oral commands notifying ATC of our actions. Prior to the warnings we received numerous heading changes by approach control. We changed frequencys between the 2 required approach controls many times. We were also required to request some deviations during the time preceding the warning due to thunderstorms.
