Narrative:
We departed sgf regional airport at AM58 on jun/tue/93. Approximately 10 NM west of sgf en route to jln at 5000 ft, left pwrplant failed. Indications were: drop to 0 on torque gauge followed by drop in RPM with associated differential yaw. Idented problem and performed emergency procedures and checklists. We declared an emergency in preparation for landing at sgf regional airport. Landing, taxi and passenger disembarkation happened without incident. Proper authorities were notified.
