Narrative:
We were cleared to land and for an overhead 360 degree approach, and told to report the break. Tower, at the same time, told an aircraft to taxi into position and hold. I then reported 'gear down' and locked on right base approaching for overhead 360 degree. I then reported left break and started the maneuver. At approximately 200 ft. AGL, tower advised me to go around and released the holding aircraft. I took evasive action to avoid departing aircraft and tied down aircraft. Engine power was slow to respond and aircraft touched down on left wingtip and left main landing gear, causing damage to left wingtip.

Title: AN SMA PLT SCRAPED HIS WINGTIP IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING A GAR.
Narrative: WE WERE CLRED TO LAND AND FOR AN OVERHEAD 360 DEG APCH, AND TOLD TO RPT THE BREAK. TWR, AT THE SAME TIME, TOLD AN ACFT TO TAXI INTO POS AND HOLD. I THEN RPTED 'GEAR DOWN' AND LOCKED ON R BASE APCHING FOR OVERHEAD 360 DEG. I THEN RPTED L BREAK AND STARTED THE MANEUVER. AT APPROX 200 FT. AGL, TWR ADVISED ME TO GAR AND RELEASED THE HOLDING ACFT. I TOOK EVASIVE ACTION TO AVOID DEPARTING ACFT AND TIED DOWN ACFT. ENG PWR WAS SLOW TO RESPOND AND ACFT TOUCHED DOWN ON L WINGTIP AND L MAIN LNDG GEAR, CAUSING DAMAGE TO L WINGTIP.
