Narrative:
Complied with TCASII RA to descend at 2000 FPM to lower altitude, ATC was advised. After leveling off at FL250 it was determined to be probably a malfunction in equipment. Note: the threat aircraft also got an RA not to descend. The TCASII equipment was written up and pulled for testing. I cannot offer any recommendation as to what could be done to solve this problem.

Title: FLC OF AN MLG ACR ACFT DEVIATED FROM ASSIGNED IN RESPONSE TO A TCASII RA.
Narrative: COMPLIED WITH TCASII RA TO DSND AT 2000 FPM TO LOWER ALT, ATC WAS ADVISED. AFTER LEVELING OFF AT FL250 IT WAS DETERMINED TO BE PROBABLY A MALFUNCTION IN EQUIP.
