Narrative:
Aircraft X and Y departed with 15 degrees divergence same runway. Aircraft Y advised that he had an RA. Air carrier Y leveled at 1500 for 10 mi. There was no need for the RA, traffic was separated. This is another typical nuisance RA issued by TCASII. This equipment is not compatible with the close separation rules used in the terminal environment. TCASII should be used in the TA mode only.

Title: ACR Y TCASII RA. NON ADHERENCE TO ATC CLRNC. PLTDEV.
Narrative: ACFT X AND Y DEPARTED WITH 15 DEGS DIVERGENCE SAME RWY. ACFT Y ADVISED THAT HE HAD AN RA. ACR Y LEVELED AT 1500 FOR 10 MI. THERE WAS NO NEED FOR THE RA, TFC WAS SEPARATED. THIS IS ANOTHER TYPICAL NUISANCE RA ISSUED BY TCASII. THIS EQUIP IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE CLOSE SEPARATION RULES USED IN THE TERMINAL ENVIRONMENT. TCASII SHOULD BE USED IN THE TA MODE ONLY.
