Air carrier X 3 mi in front of air carrier Y, both doing 210 KTS. Air carrier X announces he has already performed the RA and was starting back down. Communication was well after maneuver. Comment made by the controller: 'I already had desired spacing. If X airlines wants more room on final, behind them, this is nothing further holding and delays will not cure.'

Narrative: ACR X 3 MI IN FRONT OF ACR Y, BOTH DOING 210 KTS. ACR X ANNOUNCES HE HAS ALREADY PERFORMED THE RA AND WAS STARTING BACK DOWN. COM WAS WELL AFTER MANEUVER. COMMENT MADE BY THE CTLR: 'I ALREADY HAD DESIRED SPACING. IF X AIRLINES WANTS MORE ROOM ON FINAL, BEHIND THEM, THIS IS NOTHING FURTHER HOLDING AND DELAYS WILL NOT CURE.'
