Narrative:
At FL200 cruise, got a TCASII on descending traffic at 1:30 O'clock position and 7 mi. Got RA and complied with descent instruction given by TCASII. Altitude deviation to 19300 ft. After clear of conflict, climbed back to FL200. ATC notified and were surprised that we got an RA since the traffic never came closer than 5 mi to our aircraft.

Narrative: AT FL200 CRUISE, GOT A TCASII ON DSNDING TFC AT 1:30 O'CLOCK POS AND 7 MI. GOT RA AND COMPLIED WITH DSCNT INSTRUCTION GIVEN BY TCASII. ALTDEV TO 19300 FT. AFTER CLR OF CONFLICT, CLBED BACK TO FL200. ATC NOTIFIED AND WERE SURPRISED THAT WE GOT AN RA SINCE THE TFC NEVER CAME CLOSER THAN 5 MI TO OUR ACFT.
