Narrative:

I observed aircraft X and Y being controled by sector 12, 1 climbing through FL205, the other descending through FL205 with plus or minus 4 NM between them -- an operational error. I saw my supervisor watching the operational error occur, and I remarked that it was close, and asked if operational error detection program (snitch) went off. He said nothing, and left. I believe management covers up errors at their discretion, and reports others, depending upon circumstances (operational error depection program not catching the error, etc).
