Narrative:
I, as radar controller at sector 21 lax ARTCC, caused air carrier X and air carrier Y to have less than standard separation. I was vectoring air carrier X and misjudged the time it took aircraft X to complete his turn, resulting in an operational error. This was not an unforeseen error, and there was no imminent situation involving safety. I inadvertently allowed air carrier X to come 1/2 mi too close to air carrier Y. I informed my supervisor of my error. I do not believe operational error detection program (snitch) detected it.
