Narrative:
Advised by approach 128.55 of traffic ahead and below. Before we sighted traffic, TCASII commanded 'climb, climb' 1500 FPM climb. Initiated climb. At 3500 ft 'monitor vertical speed' then 'clear of conflict.' first officer advised approach of climbing to meet RA. Approach said 'I hope you don't pop someone.' after RA, returned to 3000 ft, continued approach and landing. Just before we switched to tower at marker, heard another airliner declare RA and could hear TCASII 'climb, climb' in backgnd. Approach admonished him he could not guarantee airspace protection and pilot said 'we have to follow an RA.' approach told him 'you're on your own.'
