Narrative:

Normal takeoff runway 27R atl. Turn to heading 180 degrees, 10000 ft level off complete. Acceleration to cruise airspeed started. TCASII system gave an RA. 'Fly-to' green was a climb at 2000-2500 FPM. Climb initiated at 2000 FPM. At same time ATC called to advise traffic at 1 O'clock, 4 mi at 11000 ft. Acknowledged traffic and informed controller of TCASII RA. RA continued until 10500 ft MSL at which time we advised ATC and started descent back to 10000 ft. There was an aircraft in front of us and one behind still climbing when TCASII RA first alerted. Aircraft above was not a factor.

ACFT ABOVE WAS NOT A FACTOR.
