Narrative:
Typical dfw 'pop-up' TCASII alert. Due to IMC conditions and no visual contact, had to climb from ATC assigned altitude of 11000 ft to 11700 ft before 'clear of conflict' call. Entire event lasted less than 30 seconds. ATC was advised and acknowledged.
