Narrative:
Approaching yardley VOR at 11000 ft we received a TCASII TA at 12 O'clock and 1000 ft above descending. That was followed by an RA: 'traffic climb' warning. We climbed at 2000 FPM to 12000 ft. ATC (132.52) then advised us of unknown traffic and then confirmed it had descended through our assigned altitude. We were IMC. Thank goodness for TCASII!

Narrative: APCHING YARDLEY VOR AT 11000 FT WE RECEIVED A TCASII TA AT 12 O'CLOCK AND 1000 FT ABOVE DSNDING. THAT WAS FOLLOWED BY AN RA: 'TFC CLB' WARNING. WE CLBED AT 2000 FPM TO 12000 FT. ATC (132.52) THEN ADVISED US OF UNKNOWN TFC AND THEN CONFIRMED IT HAD DSNDED THROUGH OUR ASSIGNED ALT. WE WERE IMC. THANK GOODNESS FOR TCASII!
