Narrative:
Tpa and srq ARTS display lost due to sensor failure. ARTS induced scatter, tpa and srq ARTS resumed normal after being down for 4 mins. All aircraft in tpa approach airspace were left on last assigned headings and informed to utilize visual separation.

Title: ATC EQUIP PROB RADAR ARTS FAILURE.
Narrative: TPA AND SRQ ARTS DISPLAY LOST DUE TO SENSOR FAILURE. ARTS INDUCED SCATTER, TPA AND SRQ ARTS RESUMED NORMAL AFTER BEING DOWN FOR 4 MINS. ALL ACFT IN TPA APCH AIRSPACE WERE LEFT ON LAST ASSIGNED HDGS AND INFORMED TO UTILIZE VISUAL SEPARATION.
