Narrative:

Near miss. Approximately 40 mi nnw of norfolk, va, 4 fighters (single seat, dual tail, brown color) saw smoke trail climbing towards me very fast. I did not move. Did not want to scare other aircraft as they were in close formation. Just missed. Trailing 5TH aircraft broke to my left, missed by 1000 ft. Called norfolk. Said I had near miss. Didn't seem interested.
