Narrative:
This TCASII pertains to a TCASII RA received while level at 11000 ft going into dfw. TCASII gave an RA to 'climb, climb' due to traffic which was climbing at a high vertical rate. We were level at 11000 ft. We initiated a climb and advised ATC we were climbing due to a TCASII RA. We got to about 11300 ft when TCASII called 'monitor vertical speed' then clear of conflict. We then descended back down to 11000 ft. I believe this RA resulted from an aircraft climbing at a high vertical rate even though they may have been intending to level off at an altitude below ours.

Title: ACR ON STAR HAS TCASII RA, RESPONDS.
Narrative: THIS TCASII PERTAINS TO A TCASII RA RECEIVED WHILE LEVEL AT 11000 FT GOING INTO DFW. TCASII GAVE AN RA TO 'CLB, CLB' DUE TO TFC WHICH WAS CLBING AT A HIGH VERT RATE. WE WERE LEVEL AT 11000 FT. WE INITIATED A CLB AND ADVISED ATC WE WERE CLBING DUE TO A TCASII RA. WE GOT TO ABOUT 11300 FT WHEN TCASII CALLED 'MONITOR VERT SPD' THEN CLR OF CONFLICT. WE THEN DSNDED BACK DOWN TO 11000 FT. I BELIEVE THIS RA RESULTED FROM AN ACFT CLBING AT A HIGH VERT RATE EVEN THOUGH THEY MAY HAVE BEEN INTENDING TO LEVEL OFF AT AN ALT BELOW OURS.
